Orders for pre-Christmas delivery can be accommodated for most goods including waistcoats, neckwear and gifts. When placing your order, please advise us of the date the goods are required by.
International Orders for Christmas Delivery
You are still able to order for pre-Christmas delivery for many world wide destinations. The Royal Mail recommended last posting dates for international orders are :-

AVAILABILITY, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF ORDER
Availability All items are offered subject to availability. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available or we are unable to supply within any time scales you have provided to us.
Acknowledgement and acceptance of your order Upon placing an order you will receive an automated email setting out the details of the order and allocating an order number. We will email you again, as soon as possible, to confirm acceptance of the order, availability and the expected dispatch date.
What size should I order? Most Tom Sawyer waistcoats are individually made to order and our aim is to supply waistcoats that fit and provided that the correct size is ordered, or accurate measurements are supplied, we should get it right first time.
Prior to ordering, please check our measurement charts. For waistcoat orders, it is best if you supply your chest measurement and waist measurement (taken around the widest part of the stomach), as well as your full height. These measurements can be in inches or centimetres and added to the special instructions box at checkout.
Colour Variations/Fabric Samples Where time limits allow, it is our policy to send fabric swatches for made to order waistcoats and neckwear once ordered to give you the opportunity to see and approve the actual colour and fabric prior to manufacture of the goods. We are also happy to send out fabric swatches free of charge if you wish to see the actual colours and fabrics prior to placing an order.
Please be aware that due to variations in individual monitor settings, there may be a slight difference in shade between the photographs on our website and the actual fabric colours, which is beyond our control. Therefore we cannot accept the return of a made to order item on the basis that the colour of the item did not exactly match your monitor’s display of the colour shown on the website.
When an order is placed by you online, your credit or debit card, or Paypal account is debited to the full value of the order in pounds sterling. International credit card providers or banks determine the exchange rate you are charged and may add additional processing or administration charge in relation to such transactions. The conversion rate shown on our website may vary from that applied by your Bank or card provider.
VAT is payable on all goods delivered to addresses within the United Kingdom and all E.U Countries unless the goods are Zero Rated or otherwise exempt. We are required to charge VAT on Boy’s waistcoats made to fit body measurements larger than those shown on the measurement charts for our size 14 waistcoats (i.e. 32” chest, 5’ 3” height).

Dispatch of Waistcoat and Neckwear orders
Most Waistcoats and Neckwear are individually made to order and, unless an urgent order is requested (see next paragraph), will usually be dispatched within 2 weeks. Where time limits allow, it is our policy to send fabric swatches of waistcoats and neckwear ordered, to give you the opportunity to see and approve the actual colour and fabric, prior to manufacture of the goods.

Urgent orders for UK delivery
Waistcoats and Neckwear can usually be made and dispatched, as quickly as is necessary, often within 24 hours (weekdays & subject to fabric availability). There is no extra charge for this service, but we recommend that you select ‘priority delivery’ in the shopping basket. Please notify us of your required by/function date in the special instructions box and we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm the dispatch date.
Dispatch of Accessories, Gifts and Shirts
We aim to dispatch all accessory, gifts and shirt orders within a maximum of 2 working days. If any items are not in stock or there will be any delay, we will inform you as soon as possible. For urgent UK orders we recommend that you select ‘priority delivery’ in the shopping basket. Please notify us of your required by/function date in the special instructions box and we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm the dispatch date.
SHIPPING AREAS/DELIVERY METHOD
UK Standard Delivery (excluding Channel Islands) Usually by Royal Mail 1st Class, 1st Class Signed for service or Parcelforce 48 for heavier packages - a signature will be required on delivery. Goods usually received within 1-3 days of dispatch, but this is not guaranteed. Shipping charges are shown at checkout.
UK Priority Delivery is either by Royal Mail Special Delivery or Parcel Force 24. – A signature will be required on delivery. Price £7.95 per order. Goods usually received the next working day after confirmed dispatch date (deliveries to Northern Ireland, UK islands and the Highlands of Scotland will take an extra day). Please note that selection of and payment for a priority delivery service is not a guaranteed service as deliveries may be delayed due to circumstances beyond our control. Priority deliveries to the Channel Islands weighing over 2 KG will incur extra charges as international parcel rates will apply.
Europe and Worldwide delivery options are either by Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed (Fully tracked with signature on delivery) International Tracked or Royal Mail International Signed service (tracked in the UK only with signature on delivery), depending upon delivery country. Delivery is usually within 4-7 days of dispatch but this is not guaranteed and depends upon the destination country, customs requirements/delays and any duty collection required. Import duties and taxes, and duty collection fees, vary from country to country and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Europe and Worldwide Excess weight delivery charges.
Wherever viable and possible we charge a flat rate price of £15.00 per order, however we reserve the right to quote amended delivery costs for any package heavier than 2kg. We will notify you in advance, as soon as possible, should additional charges be necessary and in any event we would not debit your credit/debit card without your consent. You retain the right to cancel your order should the delivery charges be unacceptable.
For urgent or heavy international deliveries we are able to use alternative couriers. Please contact us with details of your requirements so that we may obtain a shipping quote.
On rare occasions, for reasons beyond our control, there may be a delay in dispatching your goods beyond the confirmed dispatch date. We will, wherever possible, keep you informed should this happen. Our liability for delays, errors and omissions, in this instance, is limited to the value of the goods only and not for any consequential loss.
All delivery times are given as a guide as the actual time taken for delivery is outside of our control. We will not accept liability for delivery delays caused by failure by suppliers, postal services & carriers, customs duty collection & import regulations, industrial action, inclement weather, snow, flooding, earthquake or any other reason beyond our control. Non arrival of goods to meet specific dates & deadlines therefore, must be at your own risk, although Tom Sawyer commit to acting in good faith and assisting in meeting your delivery requirements wherever possible.
When you shop online with us, our DigiCert secure server encrypts all of your personal information, including name and address. Card payments are processed by Sage Pay or Paypal, both industry leaders in secure internet transactions which are used by thousands of other UK businesses. All transaction information passed between our website and the payment systems are encrypted using SSL certificates. Online orders ensure that no employees within our company are able to access your full card details.
Once on the payment systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised encryption standards. The encryption keys are held on the same type of systems as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate. Payment gateways are regularly audited by banks and banking authorities.
In addition, the in house systems, processes and procedures which Tom Sawyer Ltd uses comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and we are registered with the PCI DSS Compliance Management Programme.
When placing orders by telephone, your card details are securely disposed of once entered into our online system (as detailed above.)
Please note that we will be required to share details of your name and address with delivery companies/ carriers to allow your order to be delivered and for international deliveries, your telephone number and order content may be required for transit through customs.
What if the waistcoat doesn’t fit? If you find that the fit is not right, tell us what the problem is and we’ll discuss the options with you with the aim of reaching a fair and amicable solution. We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. However, if you have supplied incorrect measurements or ordered the wrong size waistcoat we may need to make a reasonable charge for alterations to the waistcoat and/or the postage costs. If we have made an error we will be happy to alter or replace the waistcoat at no charge.
What if my Shirt doesn’t fit? Shirts may be exchanged for different sizes and/or refunded if they are not suitable.
Any shirts returned to us should be in a saleable condition and complete with all packaging.
Consumer Contracts Regulations (previously the Distance Selling regulations)
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (applicable to customers within the EU) which came into effect on the 13th of June 2014, you have the legal right to cancel your order (please see the EXCEPTION* below) from the time you place your order up to 14 days after receipt of the goods by notifying us by telephone or email. You then have 14 days to return the goods. We will arrange for a refund within 14 days of receipt of the product to the return address. You must take reasonable care of the goods once in your possession. Delivery refunds shall be limited to our standard delivery charge for sending the goods to you. We will not refund the extra delivery costs incurred if you opted for an enhanced delivery service e.g. guaranteed next day, or commercial carrier. We will not refund the postage costs where the returned item is part of a multiple item order.
*EXCEPTION to cancellations - The Consumer Contracts regulations 2013 do not apply to items individually made to order or personalised goods. All of the waistcoats and neckwear on our website are individually made to order unless specifically stated otherwise. This exception does not apply to items supplied which are faulty or otherwise not as ordered.
STOCK ITEMS (items not excluded from your right to return)
If you wish to return an item for a refund, you must notify us of cancellation of the order by email or in writing within 14 days of receipt of the goods. We require goods to be returned within 14 days of cancellation of the order and should be returned unused, unworn and undamaged and with their original packaging.
Where an order has been cancelled under the Consumer Contract Regulations, the customer is responsible for any postage costs incurred in returning the goods to us. However, if goods are returned to us due to a fault with an item or because the items supplied differed from those ordered, Tom Sawyer Waistcoats will reimburse the customer’s return postage costs.
Returning Goods by Post. Please read our returns policy prior to returning goods and for all returns we recommend using a recorded mail service. Please remember to retain proof of postage and tracking number. Ensure that you have included your order number, your name and address details and the reason for return with the item and that the goods are packed adequately to help prevent damage in transit.
When returning item from outside the UK, it is important that you state ‘returned goods’ on customs documents as we will not pay import duties for returned goods should these be imposed. International orders incorrectly returned and incurring duty will be returned to sender.
