The colours incorporated in the traditional Tartan of Cornwall represent the area’s history and natural beauty.

Yellow Gold reflects the ancient Celtic Kings and the Black and White signifies the flag of Cornwall’s St.Piran. The Red comes from the beak and legs of the Cornish Chough and the Grey represents the tin mines which have, for centuries, yielded the Grey ore that is smelted into White Tin. Finally, the beautiful Cornish seascape and coastline is represented by the blue.
