A polished oval of Cornish tin with a slightly convex surface, mounted on a nickel-plated sprung steel tie clip.
The oval can be engraved with up to three initials and/or a numeric date and is presented in a striking purple-lined black leatherette gift box.

The ingots of tin from which this tie clip was made were smelted at Chyandour, Penzance in 1862 and lost at sea the following year when the SS Liverpool sank off Anglesey. 138 years later, the cargo of Cornish tin ingots was raised from the wreck, carefully cleaned and used to make this piece of Cornish history. Each tie clip is supplied with a full history and Certificate of Authenticity. The castings contain a minimum of 10% Cornish tin from the SS Liverpool, blended with other shipwreck and new tin to enhance their durability.
